Panasonic is introducing a new DVD home cinema system concept that offers an entirely new kind of music enjoyment. The SC-PTX7's new design and speaker technology are perfect to provide impressive sound and complement the slimmest, minimalist designs of today's flat panel TVs plus with its ability to upscale footage from standard DVD it is an ideal partner for the new High Definition Panels for optimum visual experience..
With an included Hard Disk Drive Jukebox, the SC-PTX7 perfectly matches today's way of enjoying music from an ever widening variety of analogue and digital sources. For those already downloading and storing music onto their PC, the PTX7 is also ready to transfer files to the Jukebox or stream content live to enhance the audio quality by playing wirelessly through the outstanding sound system.
Despite such a wide variety of features the Home Cinema System remains super-simple to use thanks to Panasonic's easy-to-understand on-screen menus, and it's incredible 'VIERA Link' technology that allows ultimate 'One Remote-Control Operation' when used in a complete AV system including a Panasonic Flat Panel TV and DVD Recorder - In short this is the perfect Home Cinema for today's living environment.
3.1 Channel Solution: Great Sound - Minimalist Design - Easy Set-Up!
Traditional 5.1 home cinema systems sound great but have many speakers around the room and a centre dialogue speaker - yet another unit to store underneath the TV contradicting the slim, minimal design orientation of today's flat panel TVs. Panasonic?s SC- PTX7 incorporates new sound and speaker technology that can deliver impressive cinema sound through only 2 front speakers and a subwoofer. Boasting Panasonic's new-concept 'Twin Centre' speaker technology integrates the centre speaker into the right and left speakers, eliminating the need for a separate centre speaker unit. With this system, dialogue is crisp and clear and seems to come right from the centre of the screen, whilst the area around the TV stays neat and less cluttered.
The SC-PTX7 also features Dolby Virtual Speaker, a technology that creates a 5.1-channel surround effect. Together, with the 'Twin Centre' the Dolby Virtual Speaker provides home cinema sound with clear dialogue and an enjoyable surround effect.
Ultimate Picture Quality from DVD
The SC-PTX7 features a 1080p up-conversion function that converts standard-definition (720 x 576-pixel) images from DVD sources to high-definition (1920 x 1080-pixel) images. These up-converted signals draw out the maximum performance of an HDMI-compatible 1080p HDTV, producing vivid, sharp and exceptionally detailed high-resolution images.
Store All Your Music - Multi Source onto HDD
Featuring an impressive 80GB built-in hard drive, the SC-PTX7 HDD Jukebox Cinema can hold up to 39,000 of your favourite songs (in AAC LP mode), recorded from your CDs, MP3 and WMA files from a PC, radio or other analogue sources - even record your favourite albums from vinyl onto the hard disk, and listen anytime you wish. When recording from CD, the song title and artist name can also be retrieved automatically using the CDDB (CD Database) system or MusicID system (which identifies the music by its waveform) stored inside the hard disk or downloaded by connecting to the Gracenote data server over a LAN network. These systems together make it possible to retrieve title and artist information for music from almost any source.
Music Shuffle
The music shuffle function makes it easy to manage a large number of music titles. When a song is recording, music shuffle analyses the characteristics of the music, such as tempo and beat, and then classifies the song into one of four categories: Energetic, Relaxing, Mellow, and Emotional. However music shuffle's real advantage is in playback. The user simply selects Energetic, Relaxing, Mellow or Emotional according to his or her mood or the situation, music shuffle automatically finds and plays back songs in the selected category. This is an entirely new and convenient way to enjoy music, compared with the old way of having to go through all of the music and selecting particular artists or titles.
